Year Review: 2011

I know this should be done before the year ends but I was so busy I had no time to scroll down memory lane. For my new readers, here’s a walk-through my 2011 for you. Click on photos to read more about it.

JANUARY - Still in school, trying hard to finish my thesis and other requirements. I wrote articles for my communication blog. In the meantime, my bf and I would share quick lazy meals…

FEBRUARY - UP AdHere’s most active month as we celebrate Department of Arts & Communication (DAC) Week with our Cans Pestibal. I also tried my wig and new falsies after a long time of cosplay hiatus.

And of course, my birthday on the 26th which was celebrated at a pizzeria with people who are close to me.

I have not blogged about it, but I walked the runway for JMA’s annual GLITCH: UNTAMED.

MARCH - This month is full of graduation jitters (2). I found out I won’t graduate on time :( But this month wasn’t all tears… I had some fun and luck too. I won Project Vanity’s giveaway and met beauty blogger Liz Lanuso who coincidentally was a UPM graduate!

Not to forget, the annual Bon Odori at Manila Japanese School where we get to dress up in traditional Japanese clothing and experience the culture. I love the food, games, and dancing the most!

APRIL - Despite the April depression of not graduating, I spazzed a lot because of this:

BEST DAY OF MY COSPLAY LIFE!

I made my ‘comeback’ to the cosplay scene with our Persona cosplay (me as Metis and ate Nica as Aegis)

MAY - I spent my bum days playing Shaiya Online and getting cheesy while my bf boosts me as I wait for possible jobs to reply to my application. I also had some time voice-acting/coaching for radio commercials :)

JUNE - I rarely updated my blog because I found a job at The Picture Company as a Creative Photographer. Training was held at Podium and each day was a long day of adjusting from my Nikon to their store-provided Canon.

This month also saw my love life’s 2nd year…

No blog post for this too.. I haven’t gotten around to finish editing the numerous photos from our Puerto Princesa, Palawan trip.

JULY - For Japanese culture enthusiasts, July is the time of the year. It’s EIGA SAI! I also had better profile photos courtesy of our daily outfit themes!

AUGUST - After a long time, I wrote another communication article. This time, I used my own experiences as example. Before I quit my work due to personal reasons, I had a free Toradora-themed shoot with my bf with dear Marla as our photographer.

SEPTEMBER - Back to being bum but went home to the province instead. Before that, we took levitation shots inspired by Natsumi.

This month, while waiting on my mom’s life-changing decision to move/not to Cebu, I joined the local pageant.

OCTOBER - And the result of the pageant? Not as I wanted and expected but it’s totally expected. Touche. But I had a good relationship with these lovely girls.

When we went to Cebu, there’s the usual shopping and sight-seeing which I didn’t blog about as I didn’t have decent photos. But this find was awesome: Vintage Polaroid from the 70s

NOVEMBER - This month came and went by so swiftly. It was filled with DIYs from baking to sewing to revamping, not to forget the bargain of the month.

But the most exhilirating experience was the video shoot for YouIgniteIt.com, no BTS here though.

DECEMBER - The month with the most number of posts. Practically blogged everyday. With the Zamboanga Bloggers community I just joined, I was fueled to blog regularly and keep abreast with everyone.

The day we had our haircut at an expensive (already discounted) price. My first ever outfit post. My DIY scalloped shorts. Our Christmas road trip

And it’s little things like this that make my heart melt… When my bf plays along with my child-like behavior which happens on a daily basis, mind you.

In general, it was a good year. The only sad part was not being able to graduate with my batch but you know what they say, “In UP, you are never alone”. And the best part? I was able to experience both ends of the emotional spectrum.

It’s great to be alive~
